Reception Train as Superheroes

This week the children have been thinking about superheroes in their own families and their superpowers. Daddy’s giving super cuddles, Mummy’s making super roast dinners and brothers and sisters doing super playing and sharing toys have been some of the suggestions.

On Tuesday we read the brilliant story 'One is a snail, ten is a crab' and the children were then challenged with open ended maths investigations using cumulative addition, doubles and number bonds! We had so much fun, and it was wonderful to see all of the children applying their developing maths skills to problem solve.

We were both so proud of the children on Friday when they truly gave their all in the house singing. It was lovely to see them confidently performing in front of the whole Pre-Prep.

Wishing you all a super half term.
