Reception Create Supertato Models

Complete disarray met us on Monday when we entered the classroom. Carrots stuck down with plasters, a cucumber wrapped up in toilet paper, parsnips and aubergines taped to the board and some suspicious looking green footprints. What could have happened? Luckily, we had all of the Mummy’s and Daddy’s in to help us find the clues and solve the mystery for our stay and play morning. We deduced it was the work of the ‘Evil Pea’ and he is still on the run! The children have created wanted posters, describing what he looks like and detailing his terrible crimes. They have made their own Supertato models using material, paper and pins. In maths, we have enjoyed learning about subtraction by squishing evil playdough peas to help us understand taking away. A very exciting and eventful week .
