Pre-School Perform in Puppet Show

In Pre-School this week we have shared the wonderful story “One Snowy Night” and then used our story knowledge to sequence the pictures; it has been lovely to hear the children use the language from the text and apply it into their own stories.

We have also made puppets to perform our own made-up or well-known stories in the puppet theatres we have made. On Wednesday, we took part in a science experiment to investigate which material would help the ice to melt quickest- we used the sentence stem “I predict” to talk about what we thought would happen. Everyone was fascinated to watch the different rates of melting and throughout the morning we kept popping back to look at what changes we could see, using “I notice” to talk about what the children observed. Lots of children have had fun with our new dressing-up costumes and are becoming increasingly independent to put on and take off fancy dress clothing.
