Year 1 Discuss How to Catch a Star!

Year 1 Discuss How to Catch a Star!

Pre-Prep PrePrep

Do you like stars? Would you like to catch one of your very own? If so, how would you catch a shiny, golden star?

In English this week, we read “How to catch a star” by Oliver Jeffers and our Year 1 children came up with their own brilliant instructions on how to catch a star of our own. Some of us made wings, some bounced high on a trampoline and others built their very own rocket. In maths we have been adding 10’s to 2-digit numbers, finding more and less and revisiting time, learning o’clock and half past times. The children also enjoyed learning about some famous astronauts like Neil Amstrong and Mae Jemison in our History lessons.
