Year 3 Trip to Corfe Castle
Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic day at Corfe Castle this term and made the very most of every moment!
Our wonderful guide, Liz shared stories of hard working servant boys, demanding Kings and quick witted archers. We learnt how incredibly difficult it was to attack the castle and the ingenious and gruesome ways that invaders were kept out! Liz reminded us of the wicked Prince John and how tough life was for so many in Medieval times. We thought back to our tales of Robin Hood and imagined Robin and his Merry Band in this inspiring setting.
We enjoyed our first picnic of the year, surrounded by a thousand years of British history.
Well done to all the Year 3 children who listened and behaved impeccably. We were all so impressed with their excellent ideas, facts and questions!
