Year 1 Learn More Ways to Help our Planet

The book ‘Dear Earth’ proved to be the perfect inspiration for our Eco Fest.
Year 1 wrote gorgeous letters to the Earth promising to protect and save our precious oceans deserts and jungles, using beautifully descriptive adjectives and verbs in their writing. We enjoyed making turtles from recycled milk bottles and celebrating jungles, drawing parrots and toucans.
In maths, we did some fabulous work finding halves and quarters of shapes and numbers too.
Our week was full of interesting visitors as we learnt more about ways to help our planet!
