Year 1 Find New Homes for a Pesky Rat

The children in Year 1 spent the week inventing their own Pesky Rat story, making up new settings and a new owner for the poor homeless rat.

New rat owners include Sophia’s Daddy, Emily's Daddy (who is taking the rat to work) and Farley’s Mummy. The children loved thinking about new settings for the rat and they are getting very good at writing their own stories using fabulous story language.

In Maths, we have been learning all about money, adding amounts, adding 10p and 20p to amounts of money, and enjoying the toy shop role play.

World Book Day was the highlight of the week with some amazing costumes and lovely books to share.
