Prep Academic

Year 3 had a wonderful time during the school holidays, as they travelled to various places in the UK with their friends and families.

This gave us a great opportunity in the classroom to reflect on how far we may have travelled and how well we know the layout of the UK.

Our pupils were eager to share their experiences and learn more about the United Kingdom. They explored the four countries and their capital cities, using maps and atlases to locate them and measure the distances they had covered. They also had fun creating their own UK maps with different materials, such as Lego, playdough and counters. They labelled the countries, the capitals, and the surrounding seas. They were very proud of their work and have gained a better understanding of the United Kingdom ready for their next adventures.
