As part of our PSHE programme, we welcomed Mrs Louisa Parker to Hazlegrove this morning, to speak to the Year 7 and 8 children about Racism and Issues surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement.

It was an incredibly informative and interesting presentation – highlighting, amongst other social issues, what life in the Southwest is like for a person who is Black – both past and present. The children were engaged and shared their views too. Mrs Parker was brilliant in making the children feel comfortable about speaking about racism and encouraged essential dialogue.
