National IAPS Athletics Finals in Nuneaton

On Monday 19 July Hazlegrove athletes competed at Nuneaton at the National Prep School Finals. All of our athletes acquitted themselves brilliantly and we saw a number of superb performances. Both of our Year 7 relay teams reached their respective finals and many of our athletes achieved personal bests.

Certificates and medals were won by the following:
Daisy A     2^nd    Under 14 1500m

Dino B     2^nd      Under 14 Shot Putt

And we had two National Champions:

Tilly E      1^st     Under 13 Discus

Dino B      1^st     Under 14 Discus

Dino was also awarded the Corden Cup – a trophy awarded for the most outstanding performance on the day – to gain a 2^nd in the shot and a 1^st in the discus – breaking the national record by over 5 metres.  A phenomenal achievement.
