Team and individual success for cross country runners

Congratulations and good luck to Harriet T and Sam C who are competing at the prestigious English Schools Cross Country event in Nottingham on Saturday. Here they will race against the best 8 runners from every county in the UK – with around 400 in each race.

Clayesmore relays

Well done to the 60 Hazlegrove runners who competed on Wednesday at the Clayesmore relays. To be part of the special event which saw 540 runners from across the West Country who between them on Wednesday afternoon ran the equivalent distance (as the crow flies) to Vienna. We brought home the following medals and trophies – a great successful afternoon for Hazlegrove:

• 1st place teams – Year 7 Girls, Year 7 Boys and Year 8 Boys
• 2nd placed teams – Year 5 Girls and Year 6 Boys

We look forward to receiving all of the children’s times and learning whether we have been awarded any of the ‘Fastest Lap’ trophies.

Somerset Junior County Championships

We were delighted that both of our Year 7 teams (boys and girls) were crowned county champions at this event as well as Anya E winning the Year 7 girls event.
