A round-up of the latest sports news...

Netball

We have had a super term and it is very encouraging to see the netball posts being so well used at break times. The senior girls enjoyed a trip to watch Team Bath just losing out to the Yorkshire Jets and we have been very busy in local tournaments. The IAPS tournaments went very well with all three teams finishing in commendable places. Our U11 B team (pictured below) came home with the silver medals from the All Hallows tournament having played brilliantly all afternoon.

Congratulations to our U11 Boys (picture below) who finished as Runners Up at the National IAPS Finals at Wellington College, they played some superb hockey and the day was packed with great moments and some special memories.

The U13 team (pictured below) did very well at the South East Regional Finals to finish as runners up and we wish them well for Thursday at the National Finals. STOP PRESS - the boys played some great hockey in the group stages.  They met their match in the Semi-Finals where they conceded defeat to Foremarke Hall.  Well done boys!

Girls' Cricket

We wish our team good luck for Thursday at the Somerset County Finals. It is also very encouraging to note the number of girls that want to get involved in this sport. There will be plenty of opportunities next term.

Biathlon

We look forward to hearing how our 10 biathletes get on next weekend at the Olympic Park in London, when they compete in the National Schools Finals. I am sure they will relish the experience of swimming in the Olympic Pool.

Squash

Good luck to the children competing at Wellington College during the Easter holidays in the IAPS Finals.
