Year 3 complete their 'Sound and Hearing' topic with fascinating results!

Year 3’s ‘Sound and Hearing’ topic has reached its climax this week as the children have been busy creating their final design for ear defenders for use by local military musicians.

Following a series of investigations to explore how sounds are made, how pitch and volume can be altered and the inner workings for the ear, the children then tested a range of materials to decide which was the best at muffling sound for use in ear defenders. Miss Rudd is taking the ear defenders off to band practice this weekend – watch this space for the feedback!
