Upper School are working hard!

Mr Farquhar comments on how well the children have approached their mock exams this week...

Year 8 have had mock exams this week.  It’s been a good week, and very purposeful, and things are definitely coming together!  The emphasis is very much on what to learn, to improve next time. 

Many of our Year 8 academic scholars have had their exams this week, with one to go next week.  7S have been receiving their exam results, from the exams before half term, and the process of going back through the papers is such an important one.  All of our Year 7s have exams in May, which is only a few Hazlegrove weeks away now, so it’s a case of using  moments to learn vocabulary and go back through topics whenever possible between now and then. 

In the midst of all this hard work, it’s great to learn through doing and still have lots of fun.  The French on Friday is such a great example of this!
