Our Friday Concert Had a Touch of Magic!
Parents and staff who attended last Friday’s informal concert in the theatre were so impressed by what might have been our most accomplished set of performances to date. Our singers left the audience spellbound, performing without their music and singing with great courage and conviction.
Our instrumentalists were equally impressive. Performers included Harry S who showed huge progress on the euphonium, Elliot M and Ralph V displaying superb rhythm on the drums, and Eve B and Sophia G-R playing with great poise and emotion on the piano. We were so proud of them all.
Perhaps one of the most exciting additions was our new Year 6 rock band, The Golden Eagles. This fabulous girl-only group – a first for Hazlegrove – performed a superb rendition of Eye of the Tiger, leaving us all excited for future gigs in the coming years. As the late, great Jimi Hendrix said, “Music is magic. Magic is life”. What better way to spread our Hazlegrove magic.
