Year 3s continued with their exploration of colour and shape, getting inspiration from Kandinsky's 'Squares with Concentric Circles' study from 1913.
Pupils were provided with a palette of gouache paint with only the primary colours plus black and white, and they set about mixing some beautiful shades of blues, greens and purples. Following in Kandinsky's footsteps, they enjoyed learning how putting different colours next to each other in different combinations dramatically affects how colours are perceived. We look forward to finishing the piece next week!
