An Eggcellent Week for Year 1!

We have learnt more about space in Year 1 this week, gathering facts about the planets.
The children made fabulous non-fiction lift-the-flap books filled with amazing facts about each planet. They also wrote mnemonics to help remember the order. In Maths we practised adding more and less to numbers up to 100 and using our 100 squares to help us. Our favourite lesson this week was Science (mixed with DT ) where we made our eggstronaut landing pads to save our poor eggstronauts when they landed. Some were more successful than others and we learnt that we need to adapt and change ideas to make them work! An eggcellent week!
