Pre-Prep PrePrep

Don’t leave your toys out in the garden at night because they may get beamed up by aliens and taken into space!

Our story this week was called ‘Toys in Space’ by Mini Grey. The children loved reading the story, writing questions and coming up with solutions to help the Hoctopize find his lost toy, Cuddles. We also got a postcard from Mr Benbow who had spent some time on the moon this week and told us about the craters and incredible view. We decided to write our own postcards from the moon too, using adjectives and even some similes! In maths, we have been learning how to double numbers and use our knowledge of bonds to 10 and doubles to add 3 numbers. ‘Marvellous materials’ was our theme for science as we investigated trays of objects to see what materials they were made from!
