Pre-Prep PrePrep

We certainly have that festive feeling after today!

All children in the Pre-Prep took part in our sponsored Rudolph run, where than completed laps of the Games field, running between points decorated with Christmas cheer! The boys and girls all enjoyed a well-deserved hot chocolate and biscuit afterwards to boost their energy levels ready for the rest of the day’s excitement! Thank you to our Games department for leading this sponsored run, with all money raised going to Save the Children.

We were all very excited this morning to hear the jingling of bells and, when we looked, we discovered Father Christmas had come to visit us at school! Father Christmas kindly read us all a story before generously giving us all an early Christmas present – we must have been very good this year!

We concluded our Festive Friday with our Pre-Prep Christmas Fair, where the children had their faces painted with Christmas sparkle, sold their eco-friendly goods made in Eco club and Forest School, got lucky winning on the raffle and one lucky Pre-Prep child guessed the correct name of our Christmas Elf.

We look forward to totalling the money raised and hope we can top last year’s amount to support Save the Children as best possible at this time of year.

Thank you to the Friends of Hazlegrove for their support in helping to set and run the Pre-Prep fair, and treating us all to a delicious array of treats on their cake stall!

Next week on Saturday 9 December, the Friends of Hazlegrove are hosting their incredible, inaugural Christmas Shopping Fair 8.30am until 3pm, and we are thrilled that they are holding it here in the Pre-Prep. They have done an amazing job of organising so many exquisite stall holders and there is something for everyone! The Friends will be very kindly donating a share of the profits to fund a new play fort for our Pre-Prep playground; aiding imaginative play, developing gross motor skills and core strength but, most importantly, providing many more children for years to come with lots of fun at playtimes! Thank you to everyone who is supporting this event, especially the Friends for making it happen - you will make lots of children very happy!

I wish you all a lovely weekend and look forward to welcoming you into school for our Nativity performances next week.

With best wishes,

Hannah Strugnell
