We loved reading all about cows and ducks in Year 1

The sound of a typewriter could be heard coming from Year 1! Was it the cows, chickens or the children? We loved reading all about cows and ducks that demanded electric blankets in the story “Click, Clack, Moo”.

The children designed fabulous ponds for the ducks with slides and inflatables and helped to write letters to Farmer Brown.

Number treasure hunts and games kept us busy in Maths and we learnt to record our numbers in squares and even write the date! Of course, we loved our first Games lesson on Friday, despite the hot weather.

The children have settled in remarkably well and are busy making new friends!
