Another wonderful Sunday for Boarders at Hazlegrove
Another wonderful Sunday for boarders at Hazlegrove began with a much-appreciated lie in until 8am, followed by a scrumptious cooked breakfast with all the trimmings.
We then split into year groups for our carousel of morning activities: a hair-raising Nerf battle with Mr Froggatt in the Sports Hall, amazing lino-printing with Mr Baker in the art room, a Great Hazlegrove Bake Off featuring cupcakes and animal biscuits, and a fun swim/water polo in the pool. Wow!
We were then treated to hot dogs and yummy soup for lunch, before grabbing cushions, bean bags and pillows to cosy up on and watch the brilliant afternoon movie – 'Ant Man Quantumania'. Just before the lights went down, Mr Froggatt unveiled the pièce de resistance: Strawberry flavoured candy floss! We all really enjoyed the film and tasty treat.
After that it was time for hot chocolate and popcorn, before heading over for letter writing and a fantastic chapel on ‘greatness’ by Mr Farquhar. It was very thought-provoking and made us all ponder what we think makes people great. And of course, it was all rounded off with a superb roast dinner. A huge thank you to the (undoubtedly great) Mr Farquhar, and all of the staff and children here this weekend for a really fantastic time. The boarders were such good company as always and a real pleasure to be around. Well done boarders!
