Spring Has Sprung in Reception This Week

Spring has most definitely sprung in Reception this week. Our grass heads are beginning to sport some amazing hairstyles and the bulbs in our outdoor area are beginning to flower.
‘The Odd Egg’ has inspired our writing, with the children practising some of their tricky word spellings when writing sentences about what they think would come out of the egg. A dinosaur, a dragon and an ostrich were some of the brilliant ideas!
The children have been using blocks and scales to weigh a range of different sized eggs. It has been wonderful to see their problem-solving skills, resilience and perseverance grow over this half term when approaching maths challenges.
It has been a very Egg- citing and Egg- cellent week!
