Reception Rescue Frozen Jelly Babies From The Evil Freezer!

Traction Man and his faithful companion Scrubbing Brush have inspired the Reception children’s learning this week.

The children created ‘Lost posters’ for when Scrubbing Brush mysteriously disappeared (luckily, he was found in the murky depths of ‘The Bin’). On Wednesday, we received an email from Traction Man explaining that the Evil freezer had taken the jelly baby family captive! Our mission, should we choose to accept it,  was to free them. It was wonderful to see the children’s imaginative ideas on how to rescue them from the ice. Ideas ranged from using warm water, popping them on the radiator, chiselling the ice with spoons and popping them in the microwave. I am pleased to report that most of the jelly babies made it out unharmed!  We cannot wait to see what super adventures lie ahead of us next week!
