Pre-Prep Newsletter Article - Friday 04 November 2022

Welcome back to the start of a very exciting half term!

We have so many magical events for the children this term including class trips, special visitors, our Christmas Fayre, Nativities and Pre-Prep concerts.  Nursery are also welcoming their Grandparents into School this coming Monday to take part in activities together and enjoy singing songs with Mr Birch.

As part of our Christmas Fayre this year, our Eco committee will be hosting a stall where they will be selling items they have made during club time, including bees wax wraps.  We would be grateful for any unwanted, clean pieces of plain or nicely patterned material, which is 100% cotton, so Eco Club can be busy bees!  The Pre-Prep, Mrs Millard and the Eco Team are also very conscious about the waste of clothing as children grow and the pressure to buy new each year, especially for annual events such as Christmas.  Therefore, in preparation for our festive season, the Pre-Prep will be holding a Christmas jumper swap! Please bring your children’s pre-loved washed Christmas clothing items that are too small for your child into the Pre-Prep for us to collect.  Then, during the week of the Pre-Prep Christmas Fayre, our Eco team will be on hand at the end of the day to help you peruse the range of Christmas clothing items available for free (or a small donation to Save the Children if you are able to).  More details to follow…

Next Friday, we will be remembering those who have lost their lives in war during our Whole School Remembrance Service.  Please could I ask that all children arrive at School looking smart and in their plain blue schools coats.

It is wonderful to see the children once again and see them fully immersing themselves in their first week back after half term.
