A Super Sunny September Sunday

Prep Boarding

It was a glorious weekend for the boarders as Hazlegrove enjoyed an unseasonably warm, sunny Sunday.

Kicking off the day with a delicious cooked breakfast, we put pen to paper and wrote our letters home. We then had the morning activities – the children could choose from Emoji balloon pop Archery, an art attack with Mr Edwards, football and Quik Cricket with Mr White acting as umpire, or fun in the woods. A refreshing swim before lunch helped us to cool down.

Lunch was fantastic, even by Hazlegrove standards - roast beef with all the trimmings. We then filed into the Theatre for a visit from Bugfest. Nick showed off his many creepy crawlies, including stick insects, centipedes and even some big, hairy spiders! There were screams of delight from the children as he let us see them in close up and told us some fascinating stories about them. Bugfest always put on a great show, and it was definitely a real treat to draw to an end our fantastic day in the sun.
