Pre-Prep

It was a Tuesday with a difference for the class of 2D.

BBC News Correspondent, Charlotte Cullen from BBC Points West interviewed Esmé A and some of her friends in response to Esme’s recent achievement in being awarded a Police and Crime Commissioner’s Award. Esmé received the award in recognition of the bravery she showed when her mother was taken ill whilst driving.

The BBC were accompanied by the two Police officers who attended the scene, it was the first time that they had seen Esmé’s mother since she feel ill. The children were so well behaved whilst the interviews took place in their classroom and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to sit in the police car afterwards and waved to Esmé when she was driven around the Hazlegrove car park and allowed to turn on the sirens and blue flashing lights. Mrs Davison said, ‘They all did so well, I'm very proud of them all'.

The interview will go out as part of the BBC Points West show on Tuesday 3 March from 6.30pm.
