Year 2 Visit St Barnabas Church

Year 2 spent a lovely morning at St Barnabas church as part of our R.E. topic.

The children wrote their own blog:

First we went to look around the cemetery and then when it was time we went in to the church.

Next we saw a teddy being baptised. After that we sat down on the pews and took turns to go in the pulpit (not the ball pit as some thought).

Then Reverend Rose played the organ and told us about the rood screen and how people would stand and play musical instruments on it. Finally we had hot chocolate and cookies and made a book mark.
