The sun beamed as we congregated in the stunning grounds of King’s School, Bruton. Service men and women could be heard sharing stories of themselves and their own parents serving our country. As we formed an orderly line of threes behind the band, we marched our way along the streets of Bruton, lined with people of all ages.  All the children walked with pride though the streets and stood to remember those who gave their lives for others, for reconciliation between the nations, to allow us to live in freedom, justice and peace.

The children represented the school so incredibly well, the staff were so proud of them!

Continuing a very reflective morning, Mr Froggatt had a range of wonderful afternoon activities on offer. One of which was Pottery Painting. The wonderful Mrs Clark from Potdoodles helped the children to get creative by designing and painting either a mug, bowl or Christmas bauble. The children took time and produced some fantastic creations, we look forward to seeing them when they return from the kiln. The beautiful weather allowed the children to try their hand at some archery with Mr Birch. Not only was it a magnificent autumn day but the level of archery was also very impressive with bullseyes galore.

It was another fantastic weekend at Hazlegrove.
