Lower School Taste Test Hot Cross Buns

This week the Lower school children are having a blast taste testing and adapting their own ‘Hot Cross Buns!

The children graded a range of sweet and savoury hot cross buns, that included traditional fruits and spices, marmite, cheese, and salted caramel!

Mrs Bartlett’s assembly looked at the importance and history of the ‘Hot cross bun’ at this time of Lent. Did you know that ‘Hot cross buns’ were kept in kitchen ceilings to warn off evil spirits and keep the kitchen safe from fire and illness?
