Year 5 enjoyed a wonderful morning at our annual Hazlegrove French Café, a hugely anticipated treat in the summer term.  Before stepping into the café on the terrace of the annexe, they practised all the vocabulary needed through various games such as team Loto and our own version of la salade des fruits.

Once in the café, the children played both roles as waiter and customer, practising their very best French to order their own chocolat chaud and croissant or pain au chocolat, which they enjoyed as the sun came out.

A big bravo to Year 5 for their excellent effort and impeccable manners throughout the morning.   Lots of enthusiastic French was spoken, which bodes well for our trip to Normandy next term!
