Pre-Prep PrePrep

Our space theme has continued this week with the children practising their counting and number formation on a Galactic treasure hunt – lots of fun and not too many aliens!

In Literacy we have been developing our story language using a story map of ‘Whatever Next’ and then applying this when retelling from our own story boards.

On Wednesday we learned about the festival of Diwali. The children created Diwa lamp holders, made beautiful rangoli patterns using coloured sand and enjoyed the story of Rama and Sita. We discussed why light is so important and how it makes us feel, comparing fireworks, nightlights and candles. It has been a wonderful week and we can’t wait to see what adventures await after the weekend!
