Poetry and Smoothies in the Year 2 Classroom This Week

With Autumn making its presence felt, the need for coats and hats has been necessary in the playground this week.
The changing weather has inspired our poetry writing and the children have created acrostic poems with wonderful, detailed imagery. We have shared these poems in the classroom, and they have taken us to another Autumnal world.
As it is week 7, our science topic is coming to an end so we have made healthy smoothies to enjoy a range of different fruits. We all tried the smoothie including the teachers and loved it! The Autumnal weather did not stop us, and we managed a fire with hot chocolate with all our friends together. Apple day with all of the Pre-Prep what a super way to end the term.
