I’m walking on sunshine!

This week, we welcomed the children back into school along with the sunshine for the start of the new academic year!

In our Wednesday assembly, we danced into the Pre-Prep hall listening to Katrina and the Waves’ uplifting song! We discussed the meaning of ‘walking on sunshine’ and how pleased we were to see all the children again! This linked nicely onto the topic of sun safety, and the children had great ideas about how to safe well in the heat including drinking lots of water, spending time in the shade, wearing their sun hats and wearing suncream. All of these top-tips have helped us enjoy this beautiful sunshine safely!

It was also a pleasure to see so many of you at the Pre-Prep Parents’ Tea Party, and a lovely opportunity to catch up with each other and meet new families. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and celebrate our recent ‘Excellent’ ISI Inspection!

Next week, we have individual photographs on Monday and the whole school photograph on Wednesday so please can the children come to school in their Autumn uniform, and bring their beautiful smiles with them.

Finally, please can I share a gentle reminder that we are a nut free school and that no products, or food containing nuts, can be brought into the Pre-Prep. We are also a dog-free zone in the Pre-Prep so please can any dogs accompanying you to school, remain in your car to look it!

Here’s to an exciting term ahead!

Best wishes,

Hannah Strugnell
