A round-up of the latest sports news...

Hockey:

Congratulations to our 1st team – who finished in 3rd place at the recent Regional IAPS tournament and qualified for the prestigious National Finals.  These took place last week and we were thrilled that they reached the last 8 of this national event, losing 0-1 in the quarter finals to Dean Close.

Well done to the U11b team won the All Hallows tournament and to the U11a team that won the ‘Bowl’ trophy at the recent Bryanston  Tournament.

Congratulations to the following who have been selected for the Somerset JAC Hockey squads:

George Blakey, Aled Downes, Anna Edwards, Tara McLaughlin, Monty Pretor-Pinney, Ottilie Sykes, Eloise Taylor and Molly Wootton.

Cricket:

Congratulations to Josh Cobb and Donald Corbett who have recently be named in the Somerset Winter Training Squads and to Ben Farmbrough, Samuel Farmbrough and James Watson who have been named in their respective district squads.

Park Run

This is a lunchtime club that is open to all children and takes place on a Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime, over a 2km  route on the school fields.

Well done to our ever increasing group of Park runners. It has been lovely to see that we now have  7 runners who have gained their ‘15’ badges – for completing 15 runs so far this term.  We have the following milestones for the children to aim for - 15, 30, 40 and the big one 50.
