Hazlegrove riders had the chance to combine their riding skills with pistol shooting, swimming and running in the Sandroyd Tetrathlon at the weekend, enjoying some great success.

The Minimus team (11 and under) were tasked with shooting (using two hands to hold the pistol), swimming as far as they could in 2 minutes, running 1000m and riding over a 70cm cross-country course.  The Juniors (aged 15 and under) had the greater challenge of shooting singled handed, 3 minutes in the pool, running 1500m and jumping a 90cm course on their ponies.

A big well done to team of Emily W, Skye F, Josh C and Jake F for winning the mini competition with notable individual success with Jake taking 1st, Josh 2nd and Skye 5th.  The two juniors competing as individuals also did very well with Sam C taking 2nd place and Fred F 5th.

Well done everyone and thank you to the parents for supporting this competition on a Sunday.
