Year 2 Celebrate Foods from Around the World
We started the week with a busy Monday morning as Open Classrooms welcomed our mummies, daddies and grandparents into school to see our learning in action. The Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their work and demonstrating their growing confidence and independence. It was wonderful to see them so proud to show their families what they have been working on.
We have also been busy writing informative reports about puffins, and we have learnt so much along the way! The children have been researching fascinating facts and have been incredibly proud to share their new knowledge with their friends and teachers.
During our RE lessons, we have been exploring celebration foods from around the world and learning about different cultures and traditions. The children had the opportunity to experience new flavours and discover how people in different parts of the world celebrate special occasions. It has been a wonderful way to broaden our understanding of the world around us whilst enjoying some delicious food!
