Pre-School Enjoy a Rainbow Snack
Continuing from our fantastic conversation last week about all the different coloured foods we grow, Pre-School sat down to make their very own edible rainbow fruit snacks!
After singing our rainbow song, the children created a rainbow on their plates using a colourful selection of fruits, including mango, blueberries, kiwi, raspberries, apples and oranges. The children had great fun exploring the different colours, tastes and textures as they made and enjoyed their fruity creations.
This week, the children have also been acting out the story of The Little Red Hen. Using animal props, the children retold the story, identifying the different characters and placing the animals in the correct sequence as the story unfolded. This was a lovely opportunity to develop their listening, communication and sequencing skills.
We have also been very busy in our role-play farm shop! The children formed an orderly queue to buy some rather expensive eggs before taking turns to become the shopkeeper and the customer. There was lots of wonderful imaginative play as the children practised using money, taking turns and communicating with one another.
It has been another busy and fun-filled week of learning through play in Pre-School!
