Year 7 are studying the events of 1066 and stepped back in time to walk through the hectic events of that year in the sunshine. Wearing funny hats and using marked-out areas to represent England, Norway and Normandy, they explored the whos, wheres, whats and whys of this pivotal year in history. This hands-on activity helped bring the story of 1066 to life and supported their understanding of the key events and people involved.
