7S have begun developing their argument skills to prepare for scholarship essay writing, debating which leader had the strongest claim to the English throne in 1066. Working in groups, they examined the various claimants and argued in favour of their own candidate's claim, while also identifying weaknesses in the claims of others in order to develop arguments and counter-arguments.
