The Music at Hazlegrove challenges, inspires and delights.

The range of instrumentation and the level that so many achieve is testimony to the dedication of pupils and staff. Pupils get lots of opportunity to experience the enjoyment of playing, whether as soloists or together in bands and ensembles. They are also encouraged to perform in front of an audience at one of the many concerts we hold each term.

Drama is about many things: theatre, improvisation and presentation skills, instilling confidence, co-operation, communication, humour and empathy.

Our wish is for every child to be able to stand up in front of others and to express themselves with confidence and conviction. The theatre provides an imposing and technically demanding setting for a number of major productions each year. For those that see the world as a stage, this is a great place to start.

For those pupils wishing to go beyond the curriculum we offer Speech and Drama lessons as an optional extra.

The children taking these lessons have the opportunity to prepare for the LAMDA examinations and to showcase their work to parents and friends in the Theatre.
