Minibus Routes for Hazlegrove pupils
We currently operate three minibus routes using our own Hazlegrove minibuses and drivers employed by the school.
If you are interested in starting to use the school minibus service, we would be grateful if you would take the time to complete this form.
Routes are very much planned according to demand during any given period and are currently suggested as follows:
- Green Route: Shepton Mallet - Evercreech - Bruton - Shepton Montague - Castle Cary - Hazlegrove
- Yellow Route: Milborne Port- Sherborne - Charlton Horethorne - Hazlegrove
- Blue Route: Longbridge Deverill - Willoughby Hedge Junction A350/B3089 - Zeals - Wincanton Hunters' Lodge- Wincanton Memorial Hall - Hazlegrove
Mornings and Evenings
All morning buses are scheduled to arrive at Hazlegrove at 8.20am to allow children to get to their tutor rooms in time for registration.
** Evening buses leave Hazlegrove around 6pm after activities and prep. Children can leave Hazlegrove at the end of the day at 4pm after lessons, at 5.05pm after Junior Clubs / Senior Prep or at 5.50pm after Senior Clubs / Junior Prep.
Costs
The cost of the bus is published in the annual schedule of fees. The termly cost is halved for morning only services and for those using the service part time there is a per trip cost. Sibling discounts are available subject to those children not preventing full-paying passengers using the bus (this is not currently an issue).
Pre-Prep Children
Pre-Prep children are welcome to use the minibus service and are accompanied to and from their classrooms by the minibus driver or a member of Hazlegrove staff.
Occasional Use
We are very happy for children to use the bus on an occasional basis, such as boarding pupils returning to school after the weekend, as long as the School Office has been informed and the driver is aware. Each journey taken will be charged at the prevailing rate. Please ensure the bus driver is made aware of any specific medical issues with regard to your child, especially when using the bus on an ad-hoc or occasional basis.
