Weekends
The first and last weekends of each term are ‘In-Weekends’ where all boarders remain in school and take part in a busy weekend of activities, some of which are off site. We also have two exeat weekends a term where school ends at 4pm on Friday - all pupils are expected to go out for the weekend whether it be with their parents, grandparents, friends or guardians.
On the other weekends, about half the boarders stay in school and enjoy a mix of activities and trips out over the course of the term.
Typical on-site activities include kite making, games in the woods, candle making, bee keeping, go-karting, kayaking, swimming, sports hall games, “It’s A Knockout”, card making, cooking and woodwork.
Recent off site trips have been taken to the Quantocks, the cinema, the beaches at Weymouth and Lyme Regis, Exmoor, @ Bristol, Ham Hill, Mere Down Falconry Centre, Bristol Zoo, Yeovil Bowlplex, Wookey Hole and ice skating, to name but a few.
Our boarding news items give parents an insight into the activities of a weekend and further photographs are available for parents to view and download from "from the gallery" - our photographic website.
