Extra-curricular

Hazlegrove has a Lower School, Middle School, Chamber Choir and 2 close harmony vocal groups. Our Chamber Choir has reached the category final of the BBC Radio Three Choir of the Year Competition and, along with our Swing Band, has performed at the prestigious National Festival for Youth. Our Middle School Choir also sang its way through to the last six choirs in the BBC Songs of Praise Choir of the Year.

Instrumentally, we have a Junior String Orchestra, Senior String Orchestra, Wind Band, Swing Band, Dixieland Band, Flute Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Corps of Drums, Junior and Senior Guitar Ensembles and Brass Ensemble.

We also provide theory tuition and aural training lessons which help prepare pupils for external examinations. These take place every term and at present, pupils are entered for Associated Board and Guildhall examinations.
