Boarders trip to the beach diverted to Crealy!
Instead of Saunton sands, we ended up going to Crealy to avoid the ferocious heat. We all enjoyed the new ride Vortex as well as the old favourites...
Boarders go to the beach, 23 May
After an afternoon of fun enjoying the water slide here at Hazlegrove, the boarders continued to make the most of the weather with a trip to the beach at Weymouth.
Boarders to Paintball and Laser
All aboard the Hazlegrove minbuses for a trip to Skirmish for paint balling and Laser tag.
The boarders go to the Circus
After a morning of activities around school the Hazlegrove boarders enjoyed a trip to the Circus in Frome.
The piglets have arrived!
The piglets have arrived at Hazlegrove! The first animals in the new mini-farm were welcomed by the boarders at the start of term.
Boarders' Easter Feast
The Hazlegrove boarders enjoyed the traditional making of bonnets before sitting down to a delicious meal. This was followed by live music from The Johnsons (with some help from staff and pupils at times!) and dancing.
In-weekend triathlon, climbing wall, barbeque, go-karts and lots more..
The in-weekend was great fun from start to end with lots of activities for all to choose from.
Spanish Dinner, bowling and fun at the park
A Spanish dinner with limbo dancing, bowling and having fun at the park were the highlights of the weekend.
Trip to Bristol Zoo and Golf
On Sunday the boarders (excluding those going to the golf competition) headed off to Bristol Zoo. There was an air of excitement from the Year 8's down to Year 3, girls and boys- everyone had the animal in their mind that they wanted to see!
Boarders trip to Lamberts Castle
The boarders enjoyed a trip to Lamberts Castle - an Iron Age hill fort near Axminster in Dorset and also a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Burn's Night supper
Burn's Night was celebrated by the Hazlegrove boarders at supper on Monday, 25 January.
Boarders' talent show
On Sunday evening, the Hazlegrove boarding pupils took part in their very own talent show. And, what a show it was! From singers to acrobats the performance was a great success.
Weekend 17 January
Treasure hunt, cheering on the parents or staff in the hockey match and a trip to the Fleet Air Arm Museum...
In-weekend, 9 & 10 Jan 2010
We had a fantastic weekend. On Saturday afternoon the highlight was toboganning up at Cadbury Castle. There was glorious sunshine and powder snow for the children to enjoy. After a mug of hot chocolate they were ready to do one of the many other activities
Boarders go skating in Winchester
The boarders headed off to Winchester this weekend and ice skated in the beautiful cathedral close. The rink was surrounded with wooden chalets selling Christmas goodies, inculding Belgiam waffles roasted chestnuts and mulled wine. After an exhausted skate we all recovered with a hot chocolate!
Boarders have fun despite the weather
The Hazlegrove boarders had fun despite the story weather with activities from den building to making gingerbread houses.
Boarders Sunday 8th November
After attending the Remembrance service at King's Bruton the boarders relaxed with activities around school.
Boarders go rowing or to @Bristol
Hazlegrove boarders have a choice of trip - rowing at Monkton or visiting the science museum in Bristol.
Year 8 boarding boys meet Olympic Star
Hazlegrove Year 8 boarding boys met Andrew Simpson, gold medal winner at the Beijing Olympics.
Boarders weekend
With the Year 6 boarders off at Kilve Court, the rest of the boarders staying in for the weekend enjoyed a range of activities around school.
The boarders visit local point-to-point
The Hazlegrove boarders enjoyed a trip to the local point-to-point despite the weather conditions which varied from brilliant sunshine to heavy hail and sleet showers!
