This term Year 4 have been designing and making a desk-tidy

This term Year 4 this have been designing and making a desk-tidy to hold pencils, pens, rulers, notebooks and some even to hold a phone (for their parents to use).
During this project we have been investigating modelling/prototyping (and James Dysons infamous 5000 models) as an important part of the design process.
Year 4 have been modelling in blue foam to develop their designs then using the Hegnar Saws to cut out intricate shapes in wood and MDF.
They finished them off by painting them.
