A group of Year 7 and Year 8 pupils were very lucky to get to view the beautiful exhibition of sculpture and drawings by Elizabeth Frink at Hauser and Wirth, Bruton.
The children were guided through the exhibition by Head of Education, Debbie Hillyerd and spent the morning drawing from the sculpture in the galleries. After lunch and some time to make plans based on their research, our artist and tutor for the day, Emma Finch demonstrated how to build an armature and develop their pieces using plaster and scrim. Everyone had a great time with this and after an extremely busy afternoon we returned to school very tired but pleased with our fantastic creations!
We would like to thank all of the staff at Hauser and Wirth for looking after us and making us so welcome.
