Over 60 children attended the 2015 Millionaires' Lunch. There were toasts, photographs and congratulations before being treated to a sumptuous lunch worthy of all the words they have read this term. Our youngest word millionaire was from Year 3! Lunch is a conservative word for the food provided, banquet would be more appropriate. At the end of the lunch, they were cries from some of the boys “I never want to eat cake again!” Perfection, what more could you want to hear!  See pictures of the lunch below...

Also during the week, the whole school had Millionaires Shortbread at morning break to celebrate our fantastic term of reading, word counts and fun.

We have also had a Book Club meeting. The Spitfires can’t wait for Devil’s Triangle 3 to come out and the Muggles and Jabberwockies really enjoyed their books and would read more in the series. Lots of discussion between the clubs, sharing ideas, thoughts and plots. A great Book Club meeting.

We have had a fantastic term for reading and as a school we have broken all previous records and read over 150,000,000 words! We have 8 double millionaires, 52 millionaires and 9 members of D-Club.
