Whilst the boys were busy playing hockey at the National IAPS finals at the end of last term, the girls were at the Somerset County Ground playing in their Lady Taverners County Finals.

After a very busy afternoon of cricket Hazlegrove became the Somerset County Champions for the second year running!  Well done girls.

This meant that we qualified for the South West Regional Finals that took place on the first day of this term. So, earlier this week we travelled to UWE, Bristol to play in the West Regional Finals, hoping to win and gain the chance to play at Lords once again.

It proved to be a very exciting day and after a relatively comfortable first three games, the stage was set for a thrilling climax. And it certainly was…. We needed to score just two runs off the last two balls…. Which we did and won!

The girls have now qualifyed for one of the 5 spots at the National Finals, which are being held at Lord's on May 12th.  Congratulations everyone and good luck at Lord's in May.
